Hey there, ya I would put the title as Sustainable construction since I had been struggling for months for writing a proposal regarding sustainable construction. At first I thought it was really hard to do such a proposal because what i heard from my lecturer the submission requirements are really high! We need to come out with the drawings which consist of floor plan, first floor plan, all sides elevation and all that stuff. I wonder how can I manage I do it since my experience and my ability are not that strong yet to cover all the submissions requirement.

I know lecturer distributed the assignment brief to us since my first start of my Year 2 Semester 2, but we still have other subjects have to cover. Not only taking Sustainable Construction 3 only in this semester but Engineering Aspects and Design, Building Construction IV, Financial Management, Tendering and Estimating. Other subjects seem strange to me especially Financial Management, my background is a science stream student who does not know financial stuff. Lecturer, Miss Azzizah wanted to see out progress weekly. I was like Hell NO !!! How can you do that to us, is torturing!! I felt like I got no time to rest after all. Then, The whole Semester was Azizah Azizah Azizah ..... sounds like horror movie.

I dont really know what to do at first, I manage to find an abandoned building where located at Jalan Lok Yew, the green building. My sister told me that there is an abandoned building. Finally, I found an abandoned building which is at least 5 levels height, it meets the requirements of my proposal. I started to do my drawing. Ya ! AutoCad drawings if not? I only know that I want to do it on AutoCad because it is a huge building, manual drawing will drive me crazy! Here come the problems. How can I draw without dimension? I was thinking, I can estimate myself what !!!! haahaahaaa... I was planning to cheat on the dimension. I ended up failed ! The whole drawings mess up and it definitely not working ! I can't do it that way, is over time consuming! I was struggling at the drawing too much I think, I haven start any progress on my proposal that time. Ms. Azizah said I got long way to go just because I did not move on on my theory part.

The very head-scratching problem arose. I can't even solve it since AutoCad is not so friendly to me. There's long story to my AutoCad. I dont really know AutoCad, I learnt from my university which is the most basic and the simplest one. I can't really function it well. Fortunately, I wanna thank God that I just have an Architect Brother-in-law. He is a Korean Architect. Oh my goodness !!!!!!! Am I the lucky one? Guess so ! He helped me a lot. He taught me, he guided me, he encouraged me, he shared his story to me and wow ! That was really amazing. I managed to finish one elevation which take me days to finish it for real. I sacrificed my bed time, I carry out a lot of calculations, I explored AutoCad, I been bullied by AutoCad, I sat there 5 hours just for creating those elevation lines. The thing is the way my bro-in-law taught is way too professional, I can't really absorb it and apply it wisely in my drawing. Despite all those freaking complicated stuffs he taught me, what I have to mention is the outcomes are really amazing and the satisfaction of spending days in the drawing. Thank You bro-in-law ! You are my savior ! hahahaha. I would say that.

The proposal isn't that hard to do just we have to spend more and more time slacking in front of laptop and do some researches in the internet and applied all those building stuffs into the proposal. I took 14 days to finish the proposal, I took 45 days to finish my drawings and I took 7 days to combine and finishing the proposal. It comes to the end of sustainable construction 3 when I handed it out to Ms. Azizah ! oh yeaahhhh !! Finally ! Below I will show some stuff that I done for this proposal !!

#Floor Plan and everything if you know where is this building. :D All DWGs drawn by AutoCad 2010 :) Hope You enjoy the SHOW !!
